What is Therapeutic Counselling?

Therapeutic counselling helps people improve their mental, emotional and physical health while encouraging positive relationships with self, others and the larger community. The building of a trusting and comfortable relationship between client(s) and counsellor is paramount.

Therapeutic counselling is focused on intra-psychological processes and the human experience: thinking, feeling and actions. The modes of Transactional Analysis may help to understand and wisely develop acquired behavioral and experiential patterns.

Therapy can help a person gain a new understanding about his or her problems and to acquire new ways of coping with and solving those problems. It can help a person develop new skills and to change behavioural patterns. Therapy can also contribute to an increased understanding of self and others.

Sessions can take place in my private practice or online. I also offer coaching and counselling on a walk in the park or forest.
